Our Story

Karunaju started with a simple idea: your home should feel like yours. It doesn’t need to look like a showroom or a page out of a catalogue. It should just be a place that’s comfortable, practical and a little bit lovely to come back to at the end of the day.

We’re based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The company behind Karunaju, Vaultdistribution Ltd, was registered at Companies House on 23 November 2022. Like a lot of small businesses, we started out small, with one person, a laptop and far too many open browser tabs full of things we’d happily have in our own homes. We wanted to put them all in one place, so we built a shop around them.

From day one Karunaju has been an online shop. We don’t have a high street storefront, and that’s on purpose. Staying online keeps our costs down, so we can keep our prices fair and spend our time on what matters: finding good products and getting them to you safely.

What we sell

Our range covers the everyday parts of home life. That means pieces for the kitchen and dining table, cosy textiles, storage that actually makes life easier, and the small decorative touches that make a room feel finished. Before anything goes on the site, we ask ourselves one question: would we use this in our own home? If the answer is no, it doesn’t make the cut.

How we do things

We’re still a small team, and we like it that way. When you email us, a real person reads it and writes back. If something isn’t right with your order, we’ll sort it out. We’d much rather keep a customer for years than make a quick sale.

Thank you for stopping by and for supporting an independent Scottish business. We hope you find something here that makes your home feel a little more like you.
